Anyone have an idea as to time frame whenever this magazine was made? I have many of these that state caliber 5.56 mm but this one has .223

About 20 years ago I would sell about 100 a week, or all I could get of those. So date wise late 90's. Still my favorite AR mag. If ammo came in 30 round boxes I would feel different.

Aluminum followers ended in the early 1970's +/-. They are considered one of the best 20 round magazines. I have been using some for 40 years with virtually zero problems. Collectors want them, but I won't pay a premium simply because modern magazines by Surefeeed, D&H, Brownells, Lancer and Magpul are every bit as good.

Still many uses even in a combat zone today.
