Looking to stock up on 5.56/.223. What's the most economical 1 MOA loading in your experience?

Thanks!

IMI 77 in a barrel that likes it.

Any decent reload with a 77 SMK.

Any VMAX load that your barrel likes.

I used to get Norma 77gr Match for under $1/rd. It shot close to half moa from my Larue barrel (5 sets of 5 shot for the MOA challenge).

I haven't tried the 77gr IMI yet.

69gr ADI is pretty accurate and under $1/rd.

I don't know if they still make it but the Black Hills blue box 55gr loaded with the Hornady softpoint was always stupid accurate and cheap back in the day.

50 rounds for $14-$20 a box. Loaded in LC once fired cases with the crimp hogged out so much it caused the primers to swell into the countersink.

The BHBB 75gr was the thing.  Hotter than 223, very near 1 MOA, one of Molon's best recommendations.!
It was always a superb performer, still have multiple cases of it.

BigHunt, I don't think they make the Blue Box in any bullet weights now, but the 55gr had high marks with many of my associates.

Federal Gold Medal 223 Rem 69 gr Sierra MatchKing BTHP is well known to be accurate out of AR's.  Certainly Moa or better.  Can be had for $1.10 a round as well.

1.  economical

2.  1 MOA

Decide which one of those things you want the most, because you're not getting both of them in a single factory load.

Details on your rifle ? Barrel brand ?

Or... good quality ammo is just part of the equation towards MOA shooting.

Otherwise, IMI 77gr is a good deal in the current ammo market.

Right now I have a POF Renegade+, but am looking to add a DD, or other top shelf AR to the mix. Not sure which yet though...

I said most economical 1 MOA loading, not economical 1 MOA loading

IMI Razorcore 77gr will produce roughly 1 minute dispersion in my Rock River NM A2. It has a 20” stainless barrel with a 1:8” twist.

Buy a variety of loads and try them out of your rifle.
