I bought a CMMG resolute PCC in 9mm.
It takes Glock mags.

I have a ton of 40 s&w ammo and would like to be able to go between 9 and 40.

Am I right to think all I need to convert my resolute to 40 from 9 is a barrel, bolt and 40 cal magazine?

TIA

Yes.  Bolt....barrel....magazine must be .40 S&W

Most....if not all..... Glock small frame lowers can accommodate 9mm and .40 S&W magazine/upper.

Another stripped upper would be nice as well if you are planning on swapping back and forth.

Probably should just buy an upper too but not too big of a deal to do a barrel swap.

I've got a ton of 40 s&w sitting around and only one pistol in that caliber .

With the price and availability of 9mm I'd like to keep what I have for our 9mm pistols.

Having been there I agree is isn't a big deal but it does get old.  You have to re-zero every time as well.  There will come a time again when 9mm is readily available and relatively inexpensive.  You can always grab another upper down the road if you aren't going to be switching back and forth much now.

One more question on this.
I finally got around to looking into another upper.

Can you guys tell me what other uppers are compatible with CMMGs lower ?
Id like to buy one local and all im finding is Areo PCC uppers and they are not compatable.

As far as I can tell the only thing special about the CMMG upper is the larger ejection port.

TIA

For 40 you'd probably need an XL model AR-15 upper with the wider port like with the 450 Bushmaster, or you could open up the port yourself.

Thank you for your reply.

I picked up an Areo XL upper yesterday that fits my lower pretty well.

It looks identical to my CMMG 9 mm upper with the larger ejection port.

Same forge and everything.
