They advertised them as A1s for some reason.
These are Anchor Harvey forgings and have rifle feed ramps.

The anodizing seems to have a "blue" to it.
Here it is in daylight compared to my OG Colts.

Top gun is a 1985 Sporter II upper, bottom gun is a 1991 Government Carbine, gun on right is a 1980 SP1.
The black handguard is for reference. The rear of the Bushmaster is oiled with Breakfree CLP, the front is dry.

I didn't know Bushmaster was still in business. Who picked them up?

I think Bushmaster is now owned by Franklin Armory

After Remington's bankruptcy in 2020, Bushmaster was purchased by Franklin Armory and Bushmaster rifles are now made in Carson City, NV.

Their grey might not be a perfect match, but it's a lot closer than anything else in the price range I've seen.
From their site:
https://www.bushmaster.com/shop/parts/bushmaster-a1-c7-stripped-upper-receiver/

Back by popular demand, Bushmaster brings you the A1 Stripped Upper Receiver.

Machined from a 7075 T6 Aluminum forging this upper features a brass deflector and forward assist.

Properly contoured A1 Carry Handle and mil spec A1 sight housing. Finished in XM15 Grey to match most vintage era AR15s.

This is your clone correct option for any A1 enthusiast.

100% proudly made in the U.S.A.

Please note: This upper in does not have M4 feed ramps.

And, they have 2 pack of lowers for like $168........
I can't justify it. Thank goodness they have the bullet icons around the selector, or I'd get a pair of them.

Thanks, OP. I might just have to order a couple of those.

Are we sure that's anodizing? The blue tint appears to be like the Cerakote Sniper Grey color. BM webpage didn't say anodizing. Just say XM15 grey "finish".

Never seen any of the older XM15 parts that were not anodized.  That would be pretty unusual to say the least.  It isn’t like a bluish variation is unusual for some years on Colt’s either….it happens.
