So I stop by the LGS where I’m traveling.  Behind the counter is a military rack for M16A1s.  It is filled with 10 C H marked (Colt I assume) M16A1 uppers, with what looks to be military surplus hardware, on Bushmaster (in Windham Maine) lower.
All ten match those parameters…barrels appear to have possibly been refinished.  Markings were blurred, but the one I could read said CMP Chrome Bore.
Based on this limited info, and lacking pics, would these be worth $1k apiece?
They were bought from a collector as a lot, but I knew more than the fellows at the gun store.  Anyone have comments?

What about the parts in the lowers?  Colt?  Might be worth it.

The original Bushmaster lowers have a following and can bring a little more than normal. With that said, $1K still seems on the high side. Without knowing all the particulars of the parts........ I'd pass.

Were they black or gray?  I am going to guess black if refinished so not what I would want.

The answer really is maybe, if each is all Colt parts on Bushmaster stripped lowers then yes. If they are all Colt uppers on Bushmaster complete lowers then no.... What you really need to do is inspect them first or get us detailed pictures.

My preban Bushmaster AR pistol lower was the only NM trigger install I've had to return to the oem internals.  Not sure why, but using a 2 stage trigger from RRA resulted in a 3# single stage trigger with a propensity to fire doubles.

Also, I shot service rifle somewhat competitively with a Bushmaster 1/9 HBAR even when shooting ball ammo.  One other issue worth mentioning is the Israeli Orlite mags under a certain manufacture number would NOT insert into the mag wells, due to an over-inserting ledge on the magazine body..  I think BM opened up the mag well entry a bit on later lowers.
