I have the opportunity to acquire a Franklin Binary trigger. It is curved. Is there any advantage to. a straight trigger as opposed to a curve trigger??
I am slowly trying to put together my Aero Precision M5 lower.
I would like to keep it as much Aero precision as possible.
Can you recomend a decent good quality buffer tube kit. Aero is it of stock forever on the M5 enhanced buffer tube kit
Thanks

Straight vs curved? Personal preference.

Edit, my bad. Missed the enhanced tag.

It's just personal preference.  Some people (usually competition shooters) may prefer straight trigger over curved triggers.
Personally I prefer curved triggers.

I wanted to love the Franklin armory binary trigger, but it was by far the shittiest trigger I've ever used.  Hope it works out for you..

Regarding your buffer, and buffer tube.

It really is all dependent upon your gas system length, barrel length,  gas port hole size, and your BCG.

Carbine systems can over gas easily,  especially when suppressed,  as more gas is directed back.

Rifle length systems generally play nice.  Everything else is in between.

The brand doesn't so much matter,  whats important is:

Mil spec or commercial........regarding your stock and other components matching up and playing well together.

Buffer weight,  run the heaviest you can where it still cycles and functions perfectly.

Tube length.  Example, the A5 system is about 5/8” longer than a typical carbine tube. And requires a longer spring and buffer.

Did and done, it should spit brass ideally at 3-4 o-clock (muzzle is 12), not short stroke, and fully lock the bolt forward. Each and every time.

Just a side note:
When you start playing with the super super duper light weight BCG’s it fucks with the system and you are going to need to play around with various buffer weights, gas block, and or spring to compensate for the weight reduction.

I am not familiar with aero’s M5 system.

But if I had to guess I would say it’s a clone of vltors A5 system.

IF IT IS...  they require a longer spring and buffer.

Everyone is out of everything these days,  “Kits” especially.  I just pieced together an A5 system by looking around the net.  Parts are out there still.

You  still may be able to piece one together.  Buy your tube, spring and pick up 2-3 different weight buffers along with a stock.  Make sure you have the correct length springs and buffers.

I prefer a curved trigger bow.  As for binary, waste of money on both ends, first the trigger purchase and then the ammo purchases to follow.

Thank you for the replies.
This is the Complete upper I will eventually find buy and use.

As far as 7.62x51 ammo I am more than flush. I have enough .30 and 5.56 projectiles, powder and primers to last many many years. Lol

Aero AR10 M5 Buffer Tube Kit is in stock...not the enhanced kit you wanted, but it will get your build done.  The only difference I can see is the lip...everything else looks the same in the kit.  Any one of the AR10 pattern carbine buffer tubes should work on your M5 lower.

Regarding the trigger, I'm not sold on it.  I had one for my PCC and promptly sold it.  I could easily outrun the trigger and it had hammer follow.  The safety had a loose fit and wobbled slightly, not to mention it felt worse than a milspec trigger.  Ive also used one on an MCX and it ran fine, but the trigger was not great, much like the one I owned/sold.

Its an upgraded buffer tube (and other parts)

DESCRIPTION
Buffer tubes serve a vital function in the AR15 recoil management system, but why can't they be more? We took a whole new approach when designing our Enhanced Carbine Buffer Tube by including features like carrier support extensions, position guide drain holes and ramping the design of the tube. These features add reliability, security, and simplicity that traditional mil-spec buffer tube options historically overlook.

Features:
Carrier Support Extensions - Fully supports and guides the bolt carrier group into the buffer tube after a round is fired, preventing carrier tilt and unnecessary wear on key components. The Carrier Support Extensions also extend on either side of the buffer retaining pin, securing the pin in place while simultaneously preventing the buffer tube from backing out under recoil.
Position Guide Drain Holes - Each position guide features a drainage hole that removes water from the system in marine environments. During routine operation, smoother cycling is achieved by allowing additional air to escape during the compression cycle of the rifle.
Ramped Tube Design - Allows for effortless installation of traditional carbine stocks. We have removed the need for messing around with screwdrivers to get your furniture over the end of the buffer tube. Simply hold down the adjustment piece and push your stock onto the Enhanced Buffer Tube.
Proper Thread Depth - Traditional buffer tubes feature extended unused threads that can cause your stock to become trapped when fully collapsed. While some turn these threads down, we've correctly machined the threads to the proper depth, providing a much cleaner look.
Mil-spec Dimensions - Machined from a 7075-T6 Aluminum Impact Extrusion to mil-spec dimensions. All standard carbine stock options made to work with mil-spec buffer tube dimensions are compatible with our Enhanced Carbine Buffer Tube.

OP, since you want this, but can't have it yet, then get anything and use it until you can replace it.
It sounds like this will bother you, until you get it.
