Regarding your buffer, and buffer tube.
It really is all dependent upon your gas system length, barrel length, gas port hole size, and your BCG.
Carbine systems can over gas easily, especially when suppressed, as more gas is directed back.
Rifle length systems generally play nice. Everything else is in between.
The brand doesn't so much matter, whats important is:
Mil spec or commercial........regarding your stock and other components matching up and playing well together.
Buffer weight, run the heaviest you can where it still cycles and functions perfectly.
Tube length. Example, the A5 system is about 5/8” longer than a typical carbine tube. And requires a longer spring and buffer.
Did and done, it should spit brass ideally at 3-4 o-clock (muzzle is 12), not short stroke, and fully lock the bolt forward. Each and every time.
Just a side note:
When you start playing with the super super duper light weight BCG’s it fucks with the system and you are going to need to play around with various buffer weights, gas block, and or spring to compensate for the weight reduction.
