So I just unboxed my brand new kac cqb upper today , noticed something weird with the Bolt carrier , is this normal from coating or is this a jacked up bolt carrier?

KAC standard carriers all look like shit.  I would apply oil all over it and see if that seasons the carrier.

Brand new parts. Need a good cleaning and lubrication.

Lube it.  Looks pretty dry.

Clean the preservative off of it, and lubricate it well.

If it still looks that way, it's your call to keep or return, the issue is cosmetic, not functional.
