Just finished my 2nd Arc fire install in a new 10.5” A2 clone. I can’t remember if this one is a V1 or V2. I doubt the frt is the problem. It bench tests fine as long as I don’t pull the bolt all the way. If I pull it all the way back, it jams open. Tapping the flash hider on my pad knocks it loose. Is it time for the quarter trick? I’m using a WMD chrome bolt, carbine length h3 buffer and standard recoil spring. Everything went together fine. Need advice from some of the sages here. Thanks! |

| Tried it again tonight, checked with buffer out, no bind. The frt lever is free and not binding. I think there is a possibility of a misalignment between the upper and the buffer tube. This is an 80% receiver for what it’s worth. I even tried a quarter. It’s binding in the last 1/16-1/8” of travel. I ever looked to see if there was binding in the hammer. I might just take it to a gunsmith. |

| I changed the upper to a slick side A1 and the problem returned. This time I used clay to see if the actuator lever was binding anything. I found the lever was hooking over the rear of the bolt opening in the upper. I filed a small notch in the upper and now it works perfectly with no shims. I learned a lot from this. |
