I'm looking at re-creating a government profile Colt AR-15 A2. I didn't know much about these rifles before, and to my surprise, they're seeming extremely difficult to clone since the HBARs were far more prevalent. All non-HBAR lowers were unfenced slab side, with the exception of the Sporter Target (which brings with it many other problems, like .170 pins, lack of AR-15 markings, no bayo lug...).

The only company left that produces the lower I need is Brownells, right? That throws out legitimate AR-15 A2 engraving possibilities, since NDS will apparently no longer offer them.

If that's the case, how difficult would it be to get something like this re-profiled? I seriously doubt my abilities to remove the fencing on my own since I have 0 metal working experience. I'd rather throw as little money into this as possible since I'm about to be $2,000 deep into my FN M4.
