So just got my Type A handguard in and it came with 3 super thin washers. I don't have any instructions with the handhuard sonim wondering where they go and what they're for. Also doesn't have a wrench for the barrel nut. Anyone care to help me out?

The shims are usually for timing your barrel nut so when tightened down properly, you can get a hole to align to slide the gas tube through.
I just took the handguard off of my Type-A to have a look at what type of barrel nut they use and I don't see a need for shims. It's not a barrel nut that needs to be timed. As for tightening, mine has flat faces milled around the nut so you can just possibly use an adjustable wrench to tighten it.
They have extremely good customer service if you give them a call they'll gladly help you out. Did you get a PicLok handguard or one of their newer M-LOK ones?
