For starts, I am less than impressed with the mount that comes with this optic.  It appears to be off in some fashion, and every little adjustment to it still has the same end for me (optic appears “tilted”).

I’ve usually used and have liked ARMS mounts but not aware yet if they have a Comp M5 mount.  Just curious what the hive itself is using for their Comp M5 mounts.

I bought mine with a LT660 directly from larue tactical. I've mostly used larue for years and have been happy with them.

I can't speak for long term use on the aimpoint m5 as it's new but I don't expect any issues with it or the mount. Mine is mounted on top of a 6921 upper on a m16a2.

It’s the first 7075 Aimpoint. Most mounts will be 6061.  I’d get a Larue 1/3 QD

I'm curious what one being 7075 has to do with the other being 6061?

Geissele Micro mount should work for the M5, and it's made of 7075 for what it's worth. Have the mount with a different optic on one of my rifles and I've been pleased. I don't need QR, so it works for me, otherwise I'd probably look at Scalarworks.

Just a plug that the optic will be more durable than the mount vs all other offerings

Going with a scalarworks mount when I order mine.  Any more pics of the CompM5 on one?
