What happened to the long Aero Precision dedicated AR10/308 thread? Some of the posts were a list of parts/ items people used that resulted in a great running rifle. I wanted to update my list.

It got archived a while back. Disappointing for sure.

That thread was really helpful with a lot of good technical info. It would be a shame to lose it all. Would it be possible for one of the mods to remove it from the archives and pin the thread here?

View Quote That thread was easily half the reason I was able to get my AR10/ 308 to run so well right out of the gate. |

I wonder if it can be resurrected and selected to not be archived.

I am one to bring it back too. I just got into the 308 Aero’s to and would like to look through the thread. I’m sure there are some very good helpful hints.

Another bump. Just ordered parts to begin an Aero build, would be great to see what’s out there!

Glad someone created another thread for Aero 308 build. Have a question for you pros. Already have a M5 lower with a 12.5 inch barrel upper from KAK industries. Will a M5E1 upper work on a M5 lower? Was going to just swap out the barrel but decided to build an upper. I did do a chat online with aero which said it will work but thought I would ask here. Thanks.

Starting a M5 build, got the lower in this past week.
My plan is a 13.9 faxon barrel in 308 then pin/weld a keymo for the 16" and to use my nomad with it. Now onto thr question of weight reduction as much as possible through this build, which upper assembly for the lighter weight build out? |

I really dig my Aero M5 build, as it allowed me to get into the AR-10 game without breaking the bank. Aero M5 upper/ lower, lower parts kit, and BCG. Centurion 13" rail, VLTOR A5 buffer system, and I can't remember what 16" barrel but it shoots decent. Using an Odin Works adjustable gas block allows this thing to shoot reliably both suppressed and unsuppressed. Heavily kicking around the idea of building a second upper using the Faxon 13.9" barrel. Anyone in here have any experience with that barrel?

Which buffer and spring are you running? Thanks for posting, I didn’t find this one. |
