So, are AR-Pistols still allowed in MN Shotgun Zones during deer firearm season?

I would think so, provided you get the NFA stamp because of the laws involving stablizing braces (as long as the law is in effect). Under the state's laws, I do not see anything changing it's definition of 'pistol.'

If you NFA registered it is now a short barrel rifle.

If you removed the brace it’s still a pistol. Now Federal Judge in Texas ruled that braces are OK. So stock bad , brace good for now.

Go to your state DNR website and read what’s a legal weapon for hunting.

MN DNR indicated last year that shouldering a pistol is not permitted in a slug zone.  Not sure how they would enforce that.  They also said that state reg's will follow AFT guidance re braces so until the recent court decision, braces would have been considered stocks.  Now you can have a brace, but not shoulder it.  But, if you registered your "pistol" to get the free stamp, that brace may be considered a stock and therefore the gun considered to be a rifle.  Clear as mud.

If you registered, it's now a SBR, it's not a pistol, so not legal for hunting in shotgun zone. Doesn't matter if you have a stock or a brace it's still a rifle.
