From another forum.

JBoomhauer did a bullet cutdown  ( in half ) with a Milling machine and an endmill. Sanded with some 3M superfine to remove burrs.

Can you describe what is in the picture and why it matters?

Not meant as a negative, just helpful to know for discussion purposes.

Have you shot any of the 77gr TMK loads at distance, like 600 yards?

Looking for ammo supply for juniors shooting CMP matches.

That's a pretty good SD for the 75gr!

And glad to see it looks more like an ELD-X and not a VMAX bullet.

I'd be pretty confident using these guys on hogs/coyotes maybe medium game.

EDIT:

So I'm going to guess that ballistics gel tests might look like the 73gr critical defense like in these videos: https://youtu.be/Q0zFJ-kcm_g and https://youtu.be/mXjLcKa6lJc

This is only based on multiple speculations....that the Sabre is like and ELD-X and that the Critical Defense is basically the 75gr ELD-X but the tip cut off for OAL purposes resulting in it being 73gr.

I'd still pick a 75gr gold dot for a do-all round, but for $0.55cpr for predator ammo works fine for me.

Not true ballistic gel... but, still good performance to me.

Looks good so far. Short neck, good fragmentation, retained enough weight to get acceptable penetration (at least in clear gel)

I like that he tested at 28 yards instead of the 10ft that most people do. Now we just need to wait for some shots into organic gel

Velocity and SD #'s are encouraging in the YouTube video.

@bfoosh06

75gr Sabres on the left 2 targets, and 7-8rds of the 77TMK’s on the right target.

Rifle was one of my bolt guns. 26” 1:7twist, each group was fired at 100yds in about 20 seconds from a barricade. All groups were under MOA.

Prone, they tighten up a bit.
