Does anyone have pics or a diagram of how the hinge etc. in a trapdoor stock goes together.

I have searched and cannot find anything on the web either in pics or video.

I have all the loose parts and I think I understand how it all goes together, but the hinge pin seems loose and too long.
The butt plate seems to be the only thing that holds the hinge pin in place, but there are no divots etc to accommodate the extra length of the hinge pin.
All the parts I have are used and came from Apex.

I also have to put the latch in using the roll pin and I assume it goes together much like the forward assist but any tips would be extremely helpful.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

The hinge pin should not protrude outside of the hinge, if it is longer, or loose( than slip fit) then is is incorrect. And yes it is held in by the sides of butt plate.

In a pinch, a trigger/hammer pin can be shortened to work.

Thank you!

That is the exact information I needed.
I will hunt for a new hinge pin.
