Picked up three AR9 billet uppers.  The ejection ports look to be about 2/3 the size of the standard 556 ports, hence I need a specific ejection port cover.  I know the old school 9mms had the funny looking shell deflector and a precision cut port cover.... What is the modern equiv that is compatible with billet AR9?

Thanks.

Certainly looks like it, holes on both sides for the hinge pin.

I either got them from Joe Bob or Primary Arms, during one of the last sales.  I'll have to look, don't remember the MFG offhand.

Maybe could modify one of the spring loaded polymer ones (strike/magpul/etc).

They make them if you really think you want one?  See how the cut out for the latch/detent is offset?  It's just a cut down version of a standard dust cover.

Good looking upper.

Just cut a standard one with a dremel, leave it about 1/16” long and finish it on a stone or emery cloth to get it straight/clean.  Or machine the ends to make it clean.

I'd have to radius the part that I cut.  Not super hard I guess, but I might as well just run them without.
