I bought 7.62 chamber cleaning set. Is this too  big for the 300 blackout?  Thinking now it may be for the AR-10. Don't want to open it if it won't work. Hell, 8 bucks is 8 bucks??

Yes, what you bought is for a 7.62x51 chamber, "AR-10" type barrel, too big.

You just want to use an AR-15 chamber brush, same as for 5.56.

The AR10/308 will work until the bristles bent or collapse. If you get a regular AR15/223 chamber brush that will work just fine on 300 AAC though.
