I've never messed with using a spacers before or know any issues associated with it.

Is it possible to get a SiCo ASR flashhider(muzze brake or BE Meyers)pinned and welded on to a 13.7 inch and get to 16inch?

Also any recommendations for people to fo the work that have a quick turnaround?

Build I used to have had a Noveske 13.7 with BE Meyer's pinned didn't require much shims at all. ADCO usually has a pretty damn good turn around.

Is this even considered safe? How does it affect the accuracy?

Old farts want to know too.

Easiest answer to one part of this is John Thomas. Email him. Different fh, but he did the same work for me and it was back in my hands in four days.

It all depends on the length of the muzzle device.

One thing often overlooked:

OAL barrel length + muzzle device length - 0.625" (standard thread length) = total OAL once pinned and welded.

I do these quite frequently and am happy to answer any questions.

With a BE Meyers you don't need a spacer, it does come with a washer that may or may not be needed to put you just over 16". I also fabbed this up with a SF 3 prong before I welded the BE Meyers and it seemed to be right at or above 16", but it is said it doesn't quite make it. I say do it, I love the 13.7/BE Meyer set up it has become one of my favorite rifles to shoot and lives next to my bed. 13.7 midlength ported right is also perfectly reliable.

@Unclemoak

I guess my real question is how unscrewed can you safely go.

This company specializes in that exact set up.

Yup, the 249f with a crush washer is over 16" OAL.  So long as shims are done carefully there shouldn't be an issue.  BA Hansen 13.7" on the top stick btw.  Bottom is a 16" DD, but I don't have an individual photo currently.

13.8 is easier with a 249F and crush washer only to be just over 16".

13.8 - .55 (threads) - .10 (shank) + 2.75 (249F) + ~.13 (washer) = 16.03

I've seen as much as 0.20", but I think that's pushing it. If it was for a flash hider, I'd be fine with it, but I'd have some concerns stacking that much stuff on the end of the barrel if a can was going to be used.

if a noveseke 13.7 and be meyers will work for what you need it is a very good set up.

Id buy the .25 spacer from Adco. You'll need a quarter inch to get those MD to 16 on a 13.7
