Glad I got 2 cases yesterday-though it shows "completed" but not "shipped" which is slow for Sam (he get's it gone usually under 24 hours). Hope I actually got them.
My bad-got a shipping # at 3:06-I want to try this out against some of the 56 grain Swiss I got 10-15 years ago. Crappy wounding ability-great accuracy. Typical Swiss. |

I've seen some 180 count boxes behind the counter. Its not cost effective to buy it this way. I think it was over $70. Cabela's has this too in the mid $60s |

Compared to other ammo that's near match quality, boxer primed, brass case, OTM bullets. |

My order from SGAmmo arrived today. Looks good.
One thing I don't understand is the LOT numbers. I searched all over the outer case box, and then each of the 180 round range packs with no luck. Finally found a stamp impressed number (no ink, just indented) on each of the 30 round internal boxes. The number does not match any Olin or Winchester lot number patterns I am aware of. Does anyone know how to interpret "170295 09-27"? Does this provide clues about date of manufacture or Swedish company name? |
| Well ya'll talked me into it. I ordered a case to try out. I figured I better get some before it is gone. I really did not need to spend the money as I just bought a case of 45 ACP, but I figured if I did not get some now, I may not get a chance to try it. I wish I could have ordered more, but it sucks being not rich. |

I am afraid this might even be a better deal than that - given the higher BC of these projectiles added to the list. I actually remember buying some of that super cheap 55gr varmint tip that PSA had years ago and always regretted not stacking more of it...not making that mistake again

Still have 2500-3000 of it left. Very accurate ammo that was dirt cheap and wish I had bought more too |

I really want to enjoy this ammo like everyone here, but it is not performing too well...
I went ahead and tested 2 more rifles using existing stash I have this weekend and found it a bit disappointing, again. The rifles being Steyr AUG with 1:9 16" FN made barrel, and the RECCE Mk12 style 1:7 16" Bison Armory SPR profile SS barrel. Neither one were able to consistently do under 2.5 MOA at 100 yards, 10rd group. With Norma 55gr FMJ, the AUG is a 2MOA gun, and the RECCE being 1.5MOA. I mentioned earlier on page 1 in this thread that my Colt A4 was doing around 3.5MOA 10rd group and Zenith Z43P doing around 2MOA. As of now the Winchester 5.56 62gr OT is truly just OT, and not OTM... it is unfortunate for me that it is missing that 'match' quality. |
