A 16 inch barrel Plus add the Bird cage for extra length 17 plus inches

NOW YOU MADE A RIFLE!!

14.5 is the better pick and keeps the Carbine a Carbine

Plus there not much advantage over FPS

This is why I bought the LMT 14.5 M4 upper,  and put on my own PHANTOM!
with the LMT and VLTOR retracted makes for a very small Carbine!

instead of a EXTRA LONG M4  Like Stag/Bushmaster!

I like to see a 14.7 barrel

Have you handled a 14.5" carbine and a 16" in the same shooting session? Fired them both on a 100yd. range?

Until you do, you just wont get, and if you have and still prefer the 16", then you probably never will understand it either.

I just like the 14.5" handling characteristics. Now, I still have my 16" & 20" rifles and even HBAR's. I didn't sell any, just added to my collection.

I am not one to change FH's on a whim or every time something new comes out and I couldn't tell you the last time I took off the front sight tower......so the permanently attached FH is not an issue for me.

Enjoy the discussions,

I had kurt cut down my 16 and add his brake! so it wouldnt be over the 16 inch limit!
Thats how much I care about adding extra inches!

unless we are talking about PENIS size?

VLTOR/LMT14.5 plus PHANTOM is the only way to go

LMT make a 14.7  L.W. PLZ?
