If you couldnt have a AR15/M16 What would you pick?
OOPPS FORGOT TO SAY AK 47 TYPE because of Parts Then FAL |
an M4 then
no seriously, I would go with a FAMAS even if it looks ugly to me but it's one of the few battle tested rifle. I've never tried one so it's just my 0.2 cent another interesting AR is the G36. |
HK G36C because they just look so badass! I mean, bad guys would just stop in their tracks and be like "Whoa, that rifle is just so badass-looking! That guy must really know what he's doing, so I'm not gonna mess with him. Ijust gonna stand here and stare in awe at such a beautious rifle!" Then, I wouldn't have to fight anybody because they would all just be so blinded by how cool my gun looked!

If that's the case I'll have to pick my Galil AR (16" barrel). I got a pic of it posted in the tacked picture thread in the AK-47/ Galil & Valmet Discussions forum. |
Easily a big plus one, the AR15 is actually my 2nd option but the government didnt leave me much choice **Edit** SIG 551, M1A Socom, AR15/M4 |
that's not an assault rifle, it's a mbr cartridge so it's a mbr. I also like my FAL so I would say FNC |
I know I'll get worked over for this but:
M1A then my Garand because I know how to shoot them. Mike ETA: I know they're not assault rifles, but its what I've got. |
+3 she's a crowd pleaser |
Any gun ?
M1a if i was in a rural enviorment where a long shot is possible. If I was in the concrete jungle ,an AK-47 and a few crates of ammo :D |
If you consider a Springfield SOCOM 16 M1A an assault rifle, id take that, if not, a Polytech AK 47S...
Realistically? Milled AK w/ optic
If price were no object? SCAR, SIG550, M14 (all w/optic) Noob question: since the AK shoots a 30cal bullet, why isn't it considered a MBR? Mike |
That or a Galil |
because it only goes to 300 yards at the extreme, and is only effective at 100 yards. |
Ok... I'll play.
Go ahead and laugh but these are what I consider my "go-to" guns. If I can't get to one of my ARs then my Norinco sks para-trooper is option one and my Marlin 336 in 30-30 is option two. My sks is dead reliable and easy to feed. My 336 is dead reliable and easy to feed. Just because the 336 isn't an auto loader doesn't mean it can't be trusted. Mine was made in 1962, is as accurate as it needs to be... 1" at 100yds with remy 180s and it's easy to handle and carry and like my ARs... I know how to shoot it. |
South African R8.
It's a product improved Galil with a 15.5" barrel. Don't know if it made it into production, though. The R4 would do if that's the case. |
M4...
Is an M1A considered an Assault Rifle? Or does it depend what state you live in? Beyond that... probably a G3 or a clone of one. Haven't shot much else that I can think of that comes close to 2nd best. |
I would probably grab the FN SCAR, then a FAL, then an AKM- milled.
AR is the second best assault rifle.
Just kidding, wanted to get a rise of everybody! AK is the second best. the HK91/G3 is a close third. |
I'd grab my SLR-95 and not feel the slightest bit disadvantaged.
If I couldn't grab my AR, I'd grab my other AR, if I couldn't grab that AR, I'd grab my other AR, if I couldn't grab that AR, I'd grab my other AR, if I couldn't grab that AR, I'd grab my AK.
In the land of mystical rifles, I'd grab an FN SCAR-L, Sig 551, and, well, an AR. WIZZO EDIT: The FAL/G3/HK91/CETME/M14/M1A are battle rifles, not assault rifles. They fire a full-sized rifle cartridge, while "assault weapons" fire "intermediate" rounds. |
I'd go with a Remmington 870 police model w/slugs... easier on ammo, not quite so black and STILL the best way to make a bad guy shit his pants...besides an AR that is.
