Sorry I missed this.

The barrel is about 19.5"

The mag tube was purchased from Fred at Choate machine and tool.

The tube is a universal blank, and the nut is extra long for a mossberg and has a deeper well to attach the tube too.

I had mine silver soldered by a machine shop friend and it is now at a gunsmith's getting a matching matte blue finish.

The kit came with a mag spring and follower, however use of the factory follower and after clipping about 7 turns off the mag spring (leaves the new spring a little longer than the factory spring) allows for 8+1 loading.

I ran 9 slugs through it and it functioned perfect although it did kick more than I expected.

All of my internals are brand new as we thought the shotgun was unfired when I acquired it.  Maybe it just needs to be broken in some.

Good luck with yours!

Model 11's are damn addictive. I've bought a couple in the last few months, one fron 1922, and the latest from 1906. What's the info on that extended mag tube, and how long is the barrel? I just cut the '06 down to 18" because the barrel was slightly bulged in the 19 - 20"  area and that extension looks about like what I'm looking for.

Where did you find the proper barrel band swivel and rear sling swivel? I can't find them anywhere.

Numrich has the band and the screw. I got them a week after I ordered but no sling swivel or mount.   They listed the sling swivel and sling mounts but I have not heard back from them.  I think they are going to be out of stock.  I got a drill, tap and 2 sight beads from Brownells for 6 bucks and have already put it on.  It took a little work to make sure it was right on the barrel.  I will have to get some pictures up tomorrow.

If anyone has a source for the sling parts please let us know.  If someone is sitting on one of the cheap stocks from a couple of years ago I would be interested in one.

Can you give me the part numbers? Because I can't for the life of me find it on Numrich. I have a hell of a time trying to search that website.

Here's a police trade-in Ithaca Model 37. I bought it from the LE supply store almost 20 years ago and traded it to a friend a few years later. I just got it back.

And for a real retro shotgun, this is what lives in the bottom of my duffel bag when I go away for the weekend with my wife. It's one of my many 1897s.

I love the Model 37.  I'm looking for one just like that.  Glad to see you got it back.  I have a list of firearms I would love to have back.  Maybe as time goes on...

Can't tell what the finish is but looks like you just need a front bead and your good to go - nice purchase.

I believe the price was fair since there kind of drying up ....but I have been told the 77e and 69RH are the same just different finishes ..even found a pic or two of GIs humping what looks like a 69RH.  The finish looks weird kind or parked

The problem you are having is the cartridge stop is bent.  It overhangs the the shells by about a quarter inch to hold them in place while the bolt is back.  They get bent very easy.  You can try to bend/ straighten it out.  The springs in the trigger group are tricky to get in place so be careful if you take it apart.

Works in progress.

This one is pretty much done.  I plan on using one of the 620's and one of the spare front ends to do a trench gun.  The 520a is my fav and other than a refinish someday I'll probably keep it as it sits now.

I chopped the barrel at about 18.25, shortened the stock a bit, installed recoil pad, used a barrel band from numrich, used a sling swivel from a 1903 on the front and on the stock,  had Rose Action Sports install the Remington rifle sights and threaded the barrel for chokes.

Remington model 11 I plan on messing with.  Just a note for those interested in model 11's, if you want extra barrels for them.   Savage 720 barrels fit them and run cheaper than model 11 barrels.  The one without the polychoke is a savage barrel I got for $50, much cheaper than what Remington barrels usually go for.

Here's my latest gunshow find. I've been looking for an affordable Winchester Model 12 for a few years now and finally found one. I faxed the dealer my C&R and he mailed this one to me for $300. I wanted a Model 12 Riot Gun but this one is too nice to chop. I'll keep looking for a beater to cut down.

Thanks, that is good to know about the 720 barrels.

I've been resiting buying used shotguns these days, I said to my wife the Remington 31 was the last, and I almost broke that proimise last week when I stumbled on a mint Stevens 620.  I ran away like a good boy.  I did however find some more expensive different guns to by though

There are two versions of the bracket from Remington. On one the screw is offset more, I can't remember if it is the early or late version. You might ask in the shotguns forum under the armory tab.

Pre 1915 Stevens 520. I finally got it fully functional this week after picking it up last June. It has the Inertia Bar Slide Lock/Release. Both halves have matching SN's. Not sure how if it left the factory in a riot configuration though.

Oh my!  My first shotgun was a Remington 31 in 20g.  Great gun and bagged a lot of rabbits with it.

Some other model 11 stuff.

Aftermarket synthetic Browning A5 stock set It was NOS for cheap, outers I think.  Front fit right on without having to do anything, BUT the stock would require some work.  Would have to bend the tang on the trigger group and probably drill and thread a new hole for the stock bolt.
