Regarding police and martial law and the confiscation of firearms from citizens.

We have seen in New Orleans, cops deserting their posts and cops looting.  Why would you assume they are giving a lawful order, especially in an event such as this?  All I know is that I would feel a hell of a lot more vunerable without my firearms than with them.
