First up is a CZ27 with Wehrmacht acceptance stamps, still trying to get an exact date on this, but I think it is from 1943, with a 1942 dated hip holster. I bought it from a guy who used to work security at the American embassy in Moscow. He said he bought it over there and it is originally for a Makarov. And she's right; the original straps ARE uncomfortable, and the little clips will not stay attached to your belt worth a damn. I got a buddy of mine who builds holsters to fit me up a custom leather rig using the original holster portion of it about a year ago. Fits like a glove. Haven't used it in a while since I sold my East German Makarov, but I will see if I can find it and post a picture, if you like. |

She's back! 
Took a break from moving/rearranging the house to hit the fun and takes some pics. Farmboy loaned us a couple of his builds and I got one of my retro shotgun projects cut down. Still waiting on the sling swivels to show so I can mount a sling on it. Anyway here she is with Farmboys 651 and GUU-5P

And her she is with the Stevens retro. Should say that Bismarck walked into the one pic and sat down on his own. Turned out to be a awesome pic!

GP sling sure looks mighty long in the pics. Is she kinda short? Optical illusion possibly? Nice carbine Farmboy. |
Thanks. Since I broke up with my girlfriend a few months ago, this the only way any of my rifles are going to show up in this thread.  And yeah, she is kinda short. 6 of us went to the gunshow together yesterday in RRiggs Dodge Ram and she can sit comfortably in the middle up front. His Stevens had a 30 inch barrel on it before he cut it down. If you put the butt on the ground the end of the barrel reached her shoulder.

She stands all of 5'3" and is a size 0 so trying to get the straps snugged up is fun but almost imposable.

My beloved is 5'2" and petite, probably around the same size as yours. You should see her holding my 1903-A3 with the bayonet attached. Nice photos and gear. OK here is the Stevens in as close to "real" as I can get it.
Ordered a proper Steven's orange butt pad from Sarco, only took them 2 weeks to get it to me
Anyway installed and fitted the pad yesterday
The live in model, "Blondie" with Rex playing the faithful hound this time

There are other forums to post pictures of Ladies. We've already had retro airplane pictures posted. Next it will be gals, boats, planes, cars and motorcycles. |

With all due respect, I have to disagree. Hey, God knows I love retro ARs and I'm always ready to learn more about them. But if we eliminated every thread except those that are strictly "technical", this would soon be about the most boring damn place on the web. That's not to say it wouldn't still be a great source of information. But, hey–– a dictionary is a great source of information, but I don't read one every night just for the sheer pleasure of it! Are the historical discussions we have here really "technical"? Does it matter, from a technological perspective, that General LeMay wanted to eat that last watermelon? Or when we tell someone "Post pics!", are we (usually) doing it because we actually expect to gain some technical understanding from photos of their A1 clone that we haven't gotten from photos of every other A1 clone over the past few years? Of course not! We want to see their photos because these builds are an interest that join us together. Let's face it––in many ways, this is much more than a technical forum. It's very much an interpersonal forum. That's what makes it a pleasure to visit. Look, we get a lot of great technical info here. An occasional foray into the retro lifestyle is just a pleasant addition to the technology. And you are correct––there are other places to post pictures of ladies on arfcom. Just like there are other places to post photos of our ARs. But we come here because our ARs are different than most of the others on this site. Same thing with these ladies. These ain't just "chicks with guns"...these are Girls with Retro Guns! And young or old, hot or cold, as long as they're showing off a retro firearm, I think they belong right here! Of course, ymmv
And now, back to the picture thread! |
| Well one things for sure Ol Gunner, my retro ain't better than yours. We do have a lot less FTF's here in retroland than on most the other forums also. Tried and true, How about it Hal kinda reminded me of the wife. Ride em easy and put em up dry that's what we did with the ol plow horse. Back to the pics. Keep up the good work. |
