They do feel flimsier compared to the first ones I got. I don't believe they are made by the same manufacturer as the first ones. The 10" tall .50 cal cans will hold 22 Pmags and a Lula. |

Which model cans are you guys ordering? I cant find pictures on the site equal to the pictures of the cans you guys have posted....
Thanks. Tom |
Pretty sure they just took a random can and shot a pic of it and put it up on the site. Most guys have been buying the 50cal cans. |

I get mine in a town by me that has a army surplus store. Last time I was in they were $3 apiece and you can pick what you want..

A week or so ago I received my order of 8 `30s & 4 `50s. The 50s are in pristine shape but the 30s......welllllllllll. Not only very dirty but some outside spots of rust as well (interiors are rust free). I spent about an hour going over all of them with damp towels to clean the dirt off, then gave the exteriors a WD40 rub down (just like using Armorall on your car's interior, WD40 really makes the cans look sharp). Overall I'm happy about the quality (especially now that they're cleaned up), and I felt the price was great & the shipping more than fair. But shit, I'm already down to one empty one left! Bear |

Damn....sounds like the Can Santa needs to get his butt in gear and send some ur way! |

Who has received these, and a pic please.. Thanks... |

I've purchased 5 .50s recently from Ammo To Go (currently $4.39/ea. or $15.95/4) and they've all been in good shape. They are the new style, though, so a little different from what most of you guys are used to.
what's the new style? |
okay thanks, nothing that would prevent the old and new ones from stacking. |

Cool I need a dozen or so 30 Cal cans.
Gonna Order some tomorrow! |
Thanks DepletedUranium Just ordered six 50's and four 30's for 30% less than I can get them for locally, and the ones I could find looked like crap.

Where is "local"? (no, I won't be an a-hole and buy all of them, but I could use a couple more) |

Widener's is now giving away desiccant packs with each ammo can in their 9 packs of both 30's and 50's. Get nine cans, get 9 desi packs sealed in a plastic bag to preserve them until needed. Also, the quality of the cans is great. $39.42 for 9 50's. Being in Tennessee, you could save money on shipping depending where you are.
I called Wideners and they are sending some other ammo cans out and letting me keep these rusted ones. I will just use these for nuts and bolts or car junk, maybe clean them up and keep mags in them or something. Wideners gets an A+ for customer service, hopefully these cans are better.

I managed to pick up 140 SAW cans. Now if I only had the money to fill them up. http://www.knology.net/~aruble/SAW.JPG

God Damn!!!!!! |

Yea, I believe it was MajorAR that turned me onto them about a year ago. They are good people to deal with and the shipping was fair. The cans I received were all in very good shape. Looked close to new with good seals. Before I forget, "Thanks again Major!" |
It looks like someone has been shopping at their local DRMO! |
Found a junk store that has .50 cal cans in really good shape for 5 bucks a piece - picked up 15 couple days ago.
WoW thats tempting, Gander wants 7.50 for .50 cal rust boxes and $5 for .50 cal rust boxes that are half way caved in
Thanks for the Heads up! |

For those out west, you can get a better deal here.
west.loadup.com/military/surplus/1171.html?id=58RYsmo7 I ordered their 6-pack of cans, and it was SUBTOTAL $29.88 (for the cans) SALES TAX $2.17 SHIPPING $12.83 TOTAL $44.88 That's $12 shipping from SoCal to the SF Bay Area. You have to order cans locally because the shipping will kill you if you don't. |
I ordered some cans from ArmyGear and after a few days the order shipped they call and say that they also incorrectly shipped me some one else's cans too and I could keep the order. Since I cand always use extra cans I offered to pay for those too, but they wouldn't hear of it.
wow i'm glad this thread has popped back up. i ordered a bunch last year, and forgot where i got them from :)
What kind of condition were the cans you got in? |
I would say excellent. |
Holy crap. For what? I don't think I even own enough stuff to fill those! |
How many days does ArmyGear take to ship? This is the 3rd day since (14th - 17th) my order went in and it is still "pending". |
I ordered 5 50 cal. ammo cans from ArmyGear.net They were the unused-near new ones ($4.49 each). When i got them today 4 of them were perfect but one was dented and had some rust on it. I gave them a call and they said they would ship out another one today to replace the dented one and to just keep that one. Now that is what i call Excellent Customer Service !!! I now know where to get my Ammo Cans.
I placed my order a week ago and it still hasn't shipped yet. Anyone else getting delayed??
