The issue:
I found a deal on a new Zastava M92PV fully built receiver for less than $140. I'm now in the process of gathering parts to building a semi-custom M92. I have a TWS railed cover, un-cut m92 barrel, rear sight/cover block, piston, FCG, handguards and mody misc. pieces - about 80% of the parts I need. Locating an M92 Front Sight / Gas Block has proven very difficult - those things are unobtainium.

Question:
Can I use a Krink FSGB on an M92? I mic'd the barrel of my factory Zastava-built M92 and it's 15MM, just like the Krink Gas Block journal. Are the dimensions of the gas tube the same as a yugo M92? Will a Krink FSGB work?

Also - looking at the Definitive arms DAG-13 adjustable gas block - it too uses a 15mm barrel journal. Is this an option?  I'm going to shoot suppressed, so would have the barrel threaded since this unit won't have the traditional 26mm M92 threaded collar.  This is the kind of custom/functional addition I'd like to compliment the TWS railed cover...

Or am I stuck with finding an M92 FSGB?

Thanks in advance for your input!

The carrier height is the same between all (that I know of) AK's from the various countries. So you can use the DAG gas block. The only difference may be that the sight tower may be lower causing the gun to shoot higher when using irons, but since you're going to be using a railed cover with, I assume, an optic, that point is moot.

That's great to know - thanks, AEnemaBay.  Do you know if gas tube depth/diameter are "generally" the same as well?

Gas tube diameters are generally the same, but some of the Yugo M92/M85 tubes are smooth on the inside requiring a lobed gas piston. Easy to change to a non-lobed piston if you use a gas tube with a crimped interior. You will also need to modify a non-M92 gas tube to interact with the unique gas tube lock.

Thanks for the note. I recieved the DAG-13 adjustable gas block (very well crafted), and it'll work fine with the M92 gas tube. But, it's dimensionally longer that the stock M92 gas block so the stock barrel would be flush with the end of the gas block. That means there is no barrel protruding to be able to thread for a suppressor. So... I plan on using a M70 barrel, cut it down to length leaving enough protruding from the gas block to thread. It'll make the pistol only about 3/4" longer than a stock M92, and I'll be able to use a wider selection of muzzle devices. Ought to be a slick set-up. we'll see!
