For years I thought my Saiga was a SGL 21. I started looking closely at it and turns out it is a SGL 20-61. What is the difference and what does the -61 mean?  It’s a great rifle and sites were right one from the factory. I appreciate any info.

I am pretty sure the difference is that the 20 doesn't have the auxiliary lug under the gas block.

As far as the "-61" I think that indicates a fixed black stock.  "-62" was plum and there were other designations for OD Green and sand as well as folders.
