Anyone hear anything about no more Tula soft point coming in?  The didn't specific 124 grain or 154 grain and it wasn't from a reliable source either, so unless some knows for sure, it sounds like a rumor.

There is a lot of rumor going around to stimulate sales at the increased prices. Some dealers are saying that overseas supply will be short for awhile. Could be true could not be.  With that said I did get 2k of the Tula 154 soft point a few months ago so no fear here. If you can stomach the prices get what you need now.

I was looking at Wolf 7.62x39 125gr Soft-Point Mil spec ammo.  Is Wolf or Tula better? I have bought Wolf and it shoot fines but I have shot FMJ rounds.  I wouldn't mind buying a few boxes of soft-point rounds to see how they fire.

not the question you asked but id look at the 125 grain stuff over the 154.  the drop on the 154 gets to be pretty extreme much past 200 yds.

Who has the 125gr in stock right now?

I don't think anyone does, at least not at a reasonable, non-Gunbroker.com prices.  I watch SG Ammo.  They are the most likely to get some in.

SGA shows 6 cases of it in stock currently, $279.50 per case.  They also show cases of Wolf and Tula 124gr SP in stock as well, they Tula being $20 cheaper.

I like to stack 7.62x29 soft point ammo since Commie FMJ isn’t always super consistent and the soft points make for pretty good hunting ammo.  I have at least a case each of the current wolf 125gr SPs, Tula 124gr, and Tula 154gr.  All have been very reliable and accurate enough for deer.  I think you would be happy with any of them.  The 154gr doesn’t expand as fast as the others and moves a good bit slower, but is still pretty consistent.  The wolf 125gr seems the most accurate of the three and probably the highest velocity.  Haven’t bothered to chronograph them all in one day from the same firearm.

The Tula SP is out of stock, but it was up to $319 when SGAmmo last had it in stock. That probably means the Wolf will be even higher when they get some back in. I'm guessing either will be up to around $400 for a case based on current trends.

1000 Round Case - 7.62x39 124 Grain Soft Point Tula Ammo - UL076260 or UL076213 - $319.00
