Hi mate, I know but I thought the akm cover would match the akm woodwork.got my feed ramp in by the way, but had to file the 74 ramp a fair bit to get the bolt to clear.with a bit of a file of the mag catch my milsurp mags fit a treat.i left it a little on the tight side to allow it to wear in a bit and modded my saiga mags to fit with the feed ramp :) |

Vepr .308 16.5" barrel, factory iron sights@100 yards, WPA steel cased 145 gr. FMJ: Close enough 
Next two opened up some, twitchy me, bad eyes, and bees. 
Need to get a sight tool and quit jerking around with holdover/under, but those are head shots every time at 100 with the big .308, seems acceptable to me in a battle rifle, reckon I could nail a silhouette most every time out to 250 or so, more with a scope. |

Thanks, Mike And that my friends, is how it's done I don't need any more mags really, but that right there is enough for me to order a couple more just because I support that kind of good old fashioned American service and craftsmanship. Will also be ordering some of the x39 floorplates as I have another veep on the way

New vepr came in, little brother to the .308. Gorgeous wood on this thing, almost hate to replace it, but have plans for this one involving CNC Warrior, SGM, Bonesteel, and Ultimak.
Went out for a quick sight-in, target is from 50 yards, iron sights. I moved to 100 after this and got everything on paper, but wasn't shooting good for squat so 30 shot group was about 6-7" wide or so. But the rifle definitely is a shooter, love me some Molot tovarisch.

Just getting started on the new 7.62x39 vepr, polished G2 triggerset, grinded and polished the bullet-guide weld, SGM tri-rail (this is one of the saiga 20 gauge ones that I bought right before they came out with a dedicated vepr rail, lol, like literally the next day it was up  ). Did a little krylon "Punish-o-flage" while i'm waiting for other parts to come in.
ETA 12-13-12: Ultimak came in!
