Here's my three #'s matching Norincos... The Paratrooper is a real Mod SKSS, and the one in the middle is still new and partially in cosmoline.

Here's mine in it's current configuration Norinco Poly ... Next Mod will be a "Backward's de modification" lol ... Gonna try n get some wood furniture and spike Bayo and plain ole dust cover so if anyone has any of those part's and willing to ship just send me a pm! and the next mod would be a "Scout Mount".

Hi, eveybody. Newbie here from Oklahoma.
Just wanted to drop by with some pics of my little pups. Bullpups, that is. These are both pawn shop finds, and are my only two rifles. Got interested in shooting when my son became a National Guardsman, 'bout four years ago. Didn't fit an SKS at all, so went shopping for new stocks. Couldn't find anything that suited me very well, so..........off to the old wood shop to craft some of my own. Here are the results. First, a Yugo, and next a DP model Norinco. I wouldn't have ruined these gals myself, but they were pretty well bubba'd when I acquired them. I hope they are enjoyed as much as I enjoyed building them. KTF

The bolt carrier is a spare Yugo that I cut the handle off of, ground the bump flat , then made a new handle assembly from angle iron and a 1/2 inch bolt, cut and ground. It is almost two inches longer than stock, and on the left side, trying to achieve left-hand friendly status. You can shoot it either side, and righties will like the fact that you don't have to cross-hand the charging handle. It also has the drop-free bolt mod, so mag changes are quick and easy. Unfortunately, that is the only pic I have of the new bolt carrier. KTF |

I've always enjoyed bullpups, but being lefthanded makes the selection pretty limited for me. |

Thanks for your reply. You raise a good question about the spent casings. That pic is a little outdated also. I have since gotten a suitable deflector built and installed on the Norinco, but I haven't managed a trip to the gun range to test it properly. Hopefully in the next few days I can get my stuff together enough to do that, and make a video of both rifles. KTF |

My new 1952 Tula I traded a Mossberg 500 8-shot for at the gun show last weekend. Bubba ruined the stock 10-rounder so I am borrowing the 20-rounder from a friend until we are able to build the missing lugs back with weld. In the meantime, anyone have a stock 10-rounder they don't need? |
My Norinco Type 56 that I got for Christmas back in the early 90's. It was a little dirty when this pic was taken, but I don't keep it to look pretty. Like all of my firearms, it's for me to shoot and enjoy.

Here is a new to me...Paratrooper SKS. Factory /26\ s# 1030xxxx so that indicates that it was made in 1966.
I bought it from a guy who got it in 1988 NIB and never fired it. I took it out and shot 200 rounds thru it w/out any problems. I zero'ed at 25 yrs. 
Again, it shot great. I used Golden Tiger 124 gr FMJ and shot out to 200 yds. At 200 yrs it shot about an 18" group that was centered about 10-11 " low. Now it's time to clean it. Take Care |

Here's my Yugoslavian M59/66...I picked it up at a Gun Show in 2006 a couple of days after I got home from a civilian contractor gig in Kuwait. I got it to have something gun-related to tinker with. I got it for $150 out-the-door. It had been re-arsenaled and had a new barrel on it. After the re-arsenal, it had been cosmolined and put into storage.
I had a good time cleaning it up and refinishing the wood. After getting all of the cosmoline I could off of the stock, I wiped it down with acetone a few times then ran it in the dishwasher a couple of times. This got the remaining cosmo out of the wood and helped raise some dents and dings. It also raised the grain of the wood a little, so I sanded it down with some 400-grit sandpaper and finished it off with 4 or 5 coats of Formby's Low-Gloss Tung Oil Finish. It turned out rather well, I think... It shoots really nice...about 3" - 4" at 100 yards with Barnaul FMJ ammo...plenty good for a Com-bloc "combat rifle".

Some pics from the range yesterday. I don't know a lot about this SKS - apparently a Yugo - other than I bought it a couple of years ago and it has functioned flawlessly since. Ergonomically I like this better than either of my AKs

Just picked this up for $200. Have a cleaning rod and bayonet for it.Virtually unfired. No wear marks and still has cosmo in alot of places.All numbers matching.

I grew up with an SKS as my first rifle, they'll always have a spot in my collection. I currently have 4, all #'s matching Norincos. One is a Paratrooper, #2 is my very first rifle which I've extensively modified and turned in to a "pig rig", another is unfired and in cosmoline, and the 4th was a Bubba I attempted to somewhat rescue.
