I may have a chance to buy a bringback Type 56 that was torchcut three or four times per regs and rewelded as a semi rifle.  I assume the fire control group was replaced and I think one of the better names did the work... 2 Rivers maybe.

Bore is ok for a jungle rifle, some markings had to be redone. Non-Bayo version, milled receiver.

I'm not an AK guy and don't know the ins-and-outs of rarities.  

On a collector piece, I'd also check over at theakforum as they are like the "retro" cloners here.

There is a whole Type 56 / Norinco / Etc. subculture.
