 Got my furniture back from AK Shine refinishing. I also sent in my buddies hand guard. The under folder Npap is his gun. Part of his christmas gift this year. Previous owner had spray painted it an ugly green color and he really wanted to make it Russian red. Damn they both turned out great. The pictures really don't do this tiger stripe maple justice. In person it looks ridiculous now. I need to get out to the range to dial in the KNS piston on this M70. I'm dying to know how it sounds with the can. I'm excited. |

I originally purchased this AK-74 for $300 new back in 2008, or 09, and it’s been the best shooting, and most accurate ruffle in my collection. I purchased original Bulgarian Plum furniture, and installed it right after I got the rifle. The receiver is a Nodak Spud. I recently found the red dot scope at a pawn shop. And finally got it sighted in. The scope looks so right for this rifle!
The last pic is my group of three once it was sighted in at 25 yards.

When you don't want to spend $1900 or wait a year, you do your own poor mans Meridian Defense Apocalypse Rifle. This is a 2015 WASR that's ran 100% for me. I think 2015 was a good year for WASR's. Rob Ski's got over 10,000 rounds through his 2015.

Senior Dremel strikes again. I just wanted that POS atlantic firearms retainer off. The fit was weird on a jmac barrel. It was my fault for choosing that combo.
Ended up going with an extended SLR. Debating on staying with the Zhukov or if I want to try a CTR + Jmac Adapter. ALG recoil spring is also nice so far.  Attached File Attached FileIf anyone is wondering the rear sight is made by grandpower and sold for the stribog. Its a less expensive versiob if a LPA sight imo. The set was $50. Purchased it just for the rear. Its quality. |
