Brass case, boxer primed.
No steel in jacket or core. Not a bad round to have around and future options with reloading. |

65 cents/round for PPU is pretty reasonable in today’s market, considering when steel case was 22 to 28 cents a round, PPU brass case was 50-55 cents. Once in a while I’d fing Geco brass 7.62x39 for 40-45 cents or Herter’s for 45-50 cents but PPU has always been a good performer for the money.

I've used PPU branded 7.62x39 with good luck and it usually runs at least that. The stuff I've bought either comes in blue or white boxes, but this looks like something packaged for GO.

The stuff Norma just brought in is 2/3 the price and is also brass cased, boxer primed and non steel

Norma is cheaper.
Hell. Lapua is cheaper for 12.99 I get a box of 40 rds. Shop is in Montana though and Im 100 percent sure it is smuggled across from Canada.....who knows.. the mom and pop are Indians. |

The Brass cased ammo made by PPU is very nice and clean . Glad to see it coming into the US and the prices have been more reasonable recently .Atlantic is offering a 840 round case and it has been averaging around 49 cents a round.
