Now that mags are available it could be a fun plinker.
Supposedly, Barnaul fixed the bullet diameter of the Wolf ammo.
Muzzle energy is about like a 5.56 so should have less recoil than 7.62.
The 100gr bullet does ok in gel testing too.
There are factory VEPRs but they are heavy.
It would be nice if Green Mountain made another run of barrels.
What do y'all think?

I'm very happy with my 6.5 grendel VEPR.

The CSSpecs mags work well

If Green Mountain did a run of barrels, I'd pick one up and stash it for a future project

That looks like a fun rifle.
The Wolf ammo is a bit weak but who cares for plinking if it becomes cheap again.
Ballistics on the 7.62x39 are pretty poor compared to the Wolf Grendel ammo.
Maybe we could do a group buy with Green Mountain but I have no experience with that.
