I'm 55, kids are out (married). I had tons of guns trough the years starting with SKS, Mac90 in 223 but I was in the hunting mood at that time so I sold them. I'm reloading for all calibers of guns I have. Now I have the Yugo AK in 7.62 for few years and the second AR being built. Plus I’m building two AKs from kit parts. So now more shooting and less hunting.

Hi everyone.

38 years old, originally from Iowa, but living in the People's Republic of Maryland now. No wife, no kids, NO WORRIES! I own an AK, an AR, and an FAL as well as my fair share of 1911s and HiPowers.

30, WI, single and loving it!  Ordered an AR15 Nov 5, picked up a Tapco side folder WASR10 today at Dunhams Disposable Sports.  Got "some" ammo coming any day now.  It all started with finally getting a handgun (Px4) last year, then 2 10/22s, and the addiction started.

Bryce, 20, Northeastern Indiana, and I'm a newfound AK addict.

I love my AR, but I don't feel right treating my $1400 tool how I do my $300 AK.

I believe in the second amendment as stated in the constitution.
I feel that the second amendment has nothing to do with hunting.
And I love the challenge of trying to actually hit something with my AK's all ? of them. I lost count.
I have 2 kids therefore I am beaten down into submission by my liberal thinking wife.
However, she can't take my mind......

I'm Chris. 25y/o. I used to shoot my father's Makarov when I was in college. Now I'm in law school, and recently bought my first gun, a Walther P22, which I loved. Sold that gun to fund my current gun, an SAR-1. Would love to have an SKS in the future, and another handgun, but that will have to wait until after I pass the bar.

Hi all -

New Romanian AK-47 owner (actually my first rifle, period) from Atlanta, Georgia.

I just purchased her on January 19th and at the time thought to myself "Do I really need this? Did I just make a mistake?"
I shot it for the first time last weekend.
After the first trigger pull, I knew I made a wise choice. I'm VERY happy with my purchase.

I thought I would want to mod the rifle (new stock, plastic), but I love it the way it is. I cleaned her up, went out and got some cherry wood stain, and I think it looks better than ever.

Been lurking around her for a little while learning as much as I can. Just wanted to introduce myself. Great site and thanks for all the info.

Regards,
P

I'm 30, living in the Tampa Bay area.  I served in the USMC for 8 years (4 active, 4 reserve).  Currently a college student at USF and engaged to a beautiful woman who puts up with my personality.

I came to the dark side when my uncle pasted away and my cousins gave me one of his rifles (SAR3).  It's the first time I've came across an AK type of rifle.  It definitely needed some cleaning up and a few fixings to bring it back to life.

At first, I didn't have the slightest clue where to begin... then I've realized we had an AK forum within ARFCOM.

The fine folks of the AK forums have been more than helpful to me, in more ways than one.  They certainly have more respect and courtesy than the the other forums I've posted in.

My uncle's SAR3 will be ready for range time as soon as I have a few more parts.

Semper Fidelis!
