Hey guys I am looking for some info and experience on these two optics.
I was looking at mounting a red dot type optic on my PSAK-74. don't quiet feel like mounting an expensive type "western" optic.
And these Russian style optics do look sweet on AK pattern rifles.
The PK-01VS has been set up to use an AA type pattern. Which one is a solid red dot type optic. And would recommend using.

Don't have experience with either but Tx-Zen has some good write ups about them here.

Have you thought about getting the 1P29 red dot? It fits VERY low on the rifle-so low you can see your iron sights.

I've got a PK-01VS. AA battery, had it running over a year and change. Cowitness with irons. Integral mount. What's not to like?

Battery life lasted a year?

I was put off of these due to reading the battery life was listed as 400 hours.

I was also looking at a 1.5x PK-AS

More than a year. It's been detailed elsewhere that the cited figure is wrong. Ak-zen and others can back me up on that one.

For PKA Venezuela and PK01-VS that is correct. Venezuela lasted 3,768 hours and VS lasted 3,672 hours on max brightness. They should last over a year on medium or less
