Jeff Miller built me an amazing Galil ARM that I am still in awe of which came with a thread protector.

Does anyone have experience with tightening Galil flash hiders or muzzle breaks? I cant find any specifics on torque specs (but im assuming its 20-30ft pounds), and any wrenches to actually torque a muzzle device down with. My magpul armorers wrench was a no go on that muzzle device.

Also, if a Galil is not enough of an AK for this forum I will take this elsewhere

Did some more digging and found a thread on the AKforum where a user states "According to Troy Sellars, just torque it down and use some blue loctite."

Obviously doesn't go into detail on what to use to torque it down, but it's something.

Use a thick flat head in the slots and your calibrated elbow for torque?

And what size drill bit do you use for the screw?
