Forgive my AK ignorance but I need you guys help..
I purchased my youngest son an Arsenal SAM7K a few years ago, the one with the fake muzzle brake that the barrel runs all the way out to the end of. I bought it with the intention of sending it to Arsenal for their conversion that they have stopped doing now.


I’m wanting to change that and no one seems to have the gas block I need to have a “true” style Krink. Well I’m about past that. I would to SBR it on a F1 but I won’t do anything with it till I figure this muzzle brake/barrel problem.
Can I just have the barrel cut and threaded etc?

Can anyone help with ideas to fix this?

Soviet Stocks currently has Bulgarian gas blocks that work on the SAM7k. Here is a link. Get one while you can because they dont stock these often!

Now for a muzzle brake? And a gunsmith to put it all together.

For a muzzle brake/booster CNC warrior makes a booster and a 4 piece flash hider at a reasonable price. They are out of them right now but keep checking to seen when they get them back in. The original Arsenal boosters can be expensive but have some value to them.  Just make sure what ever you get is for 7.62 x 39 in M24x1.5 right hand. The 5.45 fit but the bullet wont fit through. Do you have or have access to a press? If so then this is something you could easy do yourself.

I don't have a press but Harbor freight has a 20 ton one for pretty cheap.

That will be perfect. You will need some punches as well.
