I bought an Arsenal SAMK7K last year or so and put off having the gas block conversion. Now Arsenal is not accepting guns for the conversion, I’m not sure if that is permanent or just due to whatever.

The conversion looks to be shortening the barrel and installing a threaded gas block/front sight housing.

Is this conversion something another gunsmith/company can do?

Mine is the one with the fake “brake” and the muzzle of the barrel comes all the way to the end of it.

Any recommendations?

There are a couple guys on AKfiles that now offer new reproduction krink front sight/gas blocks.
Finding one of those has always been the biggest hurdle to fixing a SAM7K.

The swap and chop can be accomplished at home.

Any AK gunsmith can do that.
Really any competent gunsmith could do it, but a lot self proclaimed gunsmiths these days can't do more than bolt an AR together, so that's why I recommend using a reputable AK experienced gunsmith.
