Thanks, The one pictured on Eastwave's site is the non-illuminated version, it lacks the battery compartment you see on mine. Regardless of the picture, I believe Eastwave is selling the illuminated version, you can e-mail them to confirm. I love the excellent clarity and FOV of the 3.5x21. I do not own a 1P78. |

Thanks, I did a small review comparing the two here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=4&f=56&t=125136&page=1 I have since sold my PO if that answers your question. Honestly, I love the PO too, but I give a slight edge to the 1P78 due to it's smaller size. Just a more well rounded optic IMO. The glass quality on the PO is slightly better though. |
Aimpoint Comp3 in a modified BP-02 mount. This mount is just a bit too high to co-witness, but it is really robust and has held up fine for years now. Rifle is a Krebs Custom AK103k.
Below is a 10-shot composite 100-yard target. I fired 5 rounds, removed the Aimpoint/BP-02 mount, remounted and then fired 5 more rounds - 
The hole on the far right is a pulled shot from the first string. The extreme spread for all ten shots is 3-1/2 inches, 2-7/8 inches for the nine shots excluding the flyer. Not only is the BP-02 mount - when properly adjusted - very repeatable, but my Krebs Custom AK is incredibly consistent using this Barnaul Brown Bear load. Since my lousy eyes can only see the Aimpoint dot as sort of a smear, it doesn't lend itself very well to precision shooting. I may have to mount a decent 1-4X scope on this rifle some day to see what it is really capable of. |
