Just a heads up for those of you who are like me and wanted a decent optic that cowitnesses with the factory ACE irons, but isn’t as low as the microdots and doesn’t require an elevated peep-through mount.

Primary Arms MD25 with their included low-mount. It’s basically their version of the MRO. Right in between the Aimpoint PRO and the Aimpoint Micro size-wise.

The front sight is just *barely* visible in the bottom-most portion of the tube, but it’s functional enough to act as a backup sighting option. Let’s call it a lower 8th cowitness haha

Does it come with the flip up covers?  If not, what cover is that on your dot.

No it doesn’t. I found it on Amazon, just some basic ‘universal’ flip cover. The front opening measures 36mm if I remember correctly, which doesn’t seem to be a common size.

The one I ordered was (I think) adaptable for 31-36mm sizes. Monstrum tactical. I was a little hesitant because I don’t like putting cheesy gear on my nice guns but for what it is, it seems fine.

I did have to trim about 5mm off the back of the rubber ‘seal’ though since it’s clearly meant for an optic with a much longer front end.

Cool.   I have MD25 on the way for my ACE in 556.

I think Im going to get the one with ACS reticle for 308 ACE

I did, but unfortunately with the set up like yours iron sights on 308 ACE are to low.

I’m using Ziess on my 556 ACE

That’s weird. My 308 and 5.56 have identical irons. Why would the cowitness work on one and not the other?
