hey Rusted,  not to get you into trouble or anything, but what is the military's view on sending back a set of those Plastic chinese u/l handguards and the matching swepted-back pistol grips??? I would really like a set for a chinese I'm building but can't seem to find any here, and in your pics I've seen several, in both red and a camel-tan color???? just  hoping....... be safe, and come back in one piece!............................thanks Dave

Also I've always wondered are you allowed to keep a weapon if you really want it?...I know my grandfather brought home a little german pistol(not the luger) when he came home from WWII. Unfortunately I never met him as he died right before I was born.

In other news, an African American ex-marine in Detroit is on the loose. Police say he has robbed several conveniance stores each of those times announcing his presence with the words, "Bling, Bling!" and opening fire with a golden AK47, believed to be brought back from Iraq.

FWIW....I have heard that the gold plated AKs (and other gold plated rigs) are generally given to agencies or governments that order a lot of weapons from a particular arsenal, as a bonus.

They are intended as honor guard, or similar ceremonial display arms like our "dress M14" used in 21 gun salutes, and as parade guns.
