I wanted to get the lightest weight handguard for my 308 build and as far as I know, this Smoke Composites carbon fiber handguard is that, at only 8.5 oz. with barrel nut and all hardware included. Length is 15".

Unfortunately I did not pay attention to the dimensions and this handguard is just a bit bigger around than what I like (2.125").

The handguard was over $400 and I got it last week and installed it on my brand new unfired gun.

In the interests of full disclosure, the rail that comes on the handguard is an optional piece, and is not to Picatinny spec. Any accessories you want to put on, may or may not work. I had them add the rail mostly for looks because I just think handguards without a top rail look dumb.  If you're getting this handguard it's to get the lightest available not to hang a bunch of crap off of it anyway.

This is for DPMS low profile pattern uppers. Barrel nut is threaded 1 7/16 x 16 TPI.
