Greetings,

I've just finished my Zastava PAP/M92 SBR build, and thought I would post a few pics (see below).

For those considering a similar project, my costs approximately broke down as follows:
1.  PAP M92 pistol = $450.00 (*includes shipping & transfer fees)
2.  NFA / BATF registration fee = $200.00
3.  Skeleton Stock = $264.00
4.  All other parts (grip, new trigger, etc.) = $94.00

TOTAL = $1,007.80

Above--   I took this 'exploded' view when I was replacing the trigger parts for 922(r) compliance.  I realize that people debate
if it's necessary, but for me the $30 extra I spent on the trigger parts is easily worth the peace of mind (the American-made stock, grip, and
muzzle device I was going to do regardless; put another way, compliance only added about 3% to the project cost.)

Above-- Assembled, stock folded, and sling attached.

Above-- Assembled, with stock extended

In the end, a compact & handy little weapon; if anything, the wood handguards give it a certain "character" that plastic furniture
doesn't have, IMO.

Comments welcome!

S.D.

That is quite nice.  I am hoping to SBR mine eventually as well and will save this thread as to how it should look.

Is that a complete ACR stock assembly? I assume the angle is to compensate for the receiver?

I picked up a couple of these that are going to end up just like yours

Do you have a link for that stock assembly?

Yes, the exact stock I used:  http://www.usmachinegun.com/proddetail.php?prod=PAPEZ-SK

One other small detail, for the sling:  http://usmachinegun.com/proddetail.php?prod=SWW-1032

Thanks for all the positive comments!

Very nice, I bought one of these intending to do an SBR, but got frustrated and ended up trading it for some AR parts. The PAP is a nice shooting gun, it reminded me of driving a cadillac, I kind of miss it especially after seeing these pics.

Is there any drilling/tapping required when installing the stock? It almost looks as if it is attached mostly by the pistol grip screw.

No drilling or tapping required at all-- the reason I went with that
stock.  It's a bit more expensive than some other options, but attaches
with the grip screw.

Love the build man. Just finished mine up too. Its my new favorite SBR
I drilled and tapped  a Stormwerkz hinge, Manticore Side Folder and a CNC thread adapter to mount my suppressor.

Shot it with can yet?? I tried one of those CNC thread adaptors, wobbled like crazy even when tightened down and BEGGED for a baffle strike!

Yes, very nice work!

I've read various places that AK's are tricky to suppress; will be
interested to hear how yours functions.

I assume you mean for the folding stock?  Just purchased it as one
complete unit--

Update. Pap ran 100% suppressed using the CNC thread adapter. Without the can it was the loudest weapon I've ever fired thanks to the 51t Brake. With the can it was no problem indoors without ear protection.

We were all impressed. My buddies said the difference with and without the can was " unfucking believable"

Nice!! I may have to try loading mine up with Rocksett to see if that helps. Did u check alignment with a steel rod before shooting first? Or just cross fingers and toes and hope for the best?

I checked alignment first with cleaning rod also visually and both seemed to be perfect
Fired first without can and checked for strikes to the brake. That went smooth so attached the SDN6 with fingers crossed. I am going to tac weld the thread adapter to the front sight post just to be sure it doesn't come loose on me though

Update / Range report--

Finally got my M92 SBR to the range yesterday & works great.
I'll also add that the recoil was quite manageable, considering the
size of the platform.

Bottom line-- very satisfied with the build.
