I'm looking for a knife for my molle vest. I would like one with a olive drab sheath with molle attachment...

What does arfcom recommend?

I'm in a similar hunt. If the m9 bayonet scabbard had a MOLLE hookup my search would be over. Bayonet, field knife, scabbard would all be settled.

The Marine Corps OKC3  bayonet has MOLLE webbing and it's a much nicer knife. Same price as the M9 usually too.

Not everyones cup ot tea, but I like the Glock 81 Field knife. It does not have a molle setup, but it does clip on a few rows of webbing just fine.

WHat about the Gerber LMF II ASEK.  I don't have it, but as i'm told it's a pretty decent knife, and if i'm not mistaken it is molle compatible.

just a thought, but there are many custom sheath makers that could make you a OD/molle compatible sheath for not much money.  then you could have whatever knife you want.

I carry a Microtech H.A.L.O. II on my Ranger Rack.  It works very well for me and takes up little room.

I am of  the mindset that a medium sized knife is better for body armor attatchment. I like the SOG pentagon. I drilled a couple of small holes in the sheath and put it on my kit with a couple of zip ties. It did really good for 3 tours. Also bench made makes a nice one that is about the same size. You dont need a roman short sword. If the worst case scenario happens and you need to use it as a weapon, 3" will work fine. Ask any prision guard.

The Gerber LMF II is a great knife. I have one and love it. The sheath is MOLLE compatible.

Any of the Rat Cuttlery knives would be great.  I personally have the RC-4 and love it.  It all depends on what size knife you want and what you plan to use the knife for.  A M9 would in my opion not make a good survival knife.  Just not tough enough for me.  I want something more on the lines of a RAT Cuttlery or becker that was designed for survival situations.  Go over the bladeforums.com and ask them to suggest a good fixed blade.

Carry some lineman pliers and a good using knife. It will be lighter and work better then an M9 or other gadget,

Best knife I have ever used. Industructable and proven. Comes as a nice kit too if you use the link above.
