Well that makes perfect sense, take one of the best products made and discontinue it.

that stinks, I love my M1

for me it was that just right kinda IR light, stronger than the built in IR from a pvs14 but not as strong as a weapon light. Works perfect on my helmet.

I've never used the V1. How does the IR light of the V1 compare to the M1?  Is the V1 not an adequate replacement - although much more expensive...

M1 is a great light I've had mine for probably eight or nine years.  It's the perfect blend of compactness and brightness for short range looking around.  It's a tough little booger too.
