If there's some good way to adapt an existing hi cap magazine to fire that round, I'll be all about getting one of those.

Apparently, a lot of guys are saying this is vaporware. If it isn't, then I suppose a BASTARD AR mag adapter would work with the Alexander Arms mags? But that's a lot of work and expense. I personally would just hoard the factory 10's.

The Russians are making steel-cased Grendel ammo, and I think it has gotten the attention of their military as well. There are still sentiments among Russians that 7.62x39 is a better cartridge, even though the 5.45 has proven to be best for marksmanship, logistics, & fight-sustainability.
The Grendel would increase a rifleman's load back to what a 7.62 AK is weight-wise, unless lighter loads were used than a 123gr projectile, but usable equipment space increases since the Grendel doesn't have the exaggerated case taper of the 7.62 short. |

I personally would just hoard the factory 10's. Yeah, Gabe Suarez @ Warrior Talk said he talked to his contacts @ MOLOT, and they said it was vaporware. I wasn't privy to that conversation, or what goes on in Mr. Suarez's mind, seeing he has alot invested in his particular Vepr rifle setup he is selling. I will say the "ad" does look quite cheesy and unreal. |

Well, I for one hope it is not just fake stuff, because I don't want to have to build another gay-R just to have the epic-sauce of the 6.5 Grendel. We AK guys need some love too.
