Colt 7.62 x 39 flat top upper, approx. 250 rounds since new.  Is this wear within reason, or too much?  I just bought the upper, and cycled the bolt a few times.  Took apart and noticed a small hair-thin 3mm long metal shaving.  I have since gone overboard with Militec-1.  Have not fired the upper myself yet as I am concerned of damaging this upper.

Thanks.

Thanks... AR's are a fun but expensive hobby I'm learning!

All the colts, bushmasters, and my Sabre do it as well. Normal
