Bought an ACOG at the gun show. Guy told me it was an older model RCO-31 with tritium burnt out. Looked it up online with my phone and it has correct reticle for model, raised ACOG lettering on right side along with bible verse and MADE IN USA being raised lettering. Thought it was g2g so i gave him $200 for it. It is made of metal(heavy optic) and holds zero. Only thing that makes me wonder is that i cant find the serial number. What do yall think?

If it's the real deal, it's a TA01NSN.  Serial number should be etched on the top near the rear.

NSN1240-01-525-1 is what it says on the side.

Trihicon TAO1NSN

There should be a serial number that looks like a bunch of needle/nail pricks that form the numbers/letters near the top of the ocular

The reticle looks wrong.

I will try to post a bigger picture of the reticle. But I looked on brownells website and it was correct.

Edit:I couldnt get a better picture with my camera phone. Every time i tried to enlarge the image, it would just blur our real bad.

Look through the optic, look at the retical at the bottom where the black part is
In real small white letters it should tell You what model it is.

Should say TA01.

If its a TA01NSN it will say 'M4A1'  at the bottom of the reticle.

There is nothing in the reticle.

How did you trade it? It's only worth like $45 at most. For someone to put on their .22lr trainer I guess would be perfect.

I paid like $150 for the clone, (it was actually a pretty good clone...I dont know if yours is EXACTLY the same brand, but hte features are the same...straight up scope with no red dot) and I traded a guy for an Aimpoint... He was happy I was happy...

It would be at the very bottom of the circle, you almost have to look down through the sight to see it while looking at something light colored.

The serial number would be on the top rear, may be very faint and hard to read.

no S/N and the 2 philips screws holding the scope to the picatinny adapter.
also Trijicon doesnt ship their scope inside a simple carboard box like that.
