Have 35 inch tires purchased but need a min 6" lift to fit them.
6 may rub slightly. 8 will clear no problem. And truck does leave pavement, got high centered on the frame once last year. Chevy 2500 duramax Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

How big a set of stacks are you planning to install in the front of the bed?
6" will rub...8" will clear.
Looks like you answered your own question. 12" is just douchebag territory....... |
How tall is your boyfriend? You don't want him to need a stepladder.

It takes that much lift to fit 35" inch tires on a chevy? Damn. I drove around with 35's on my jeep for a week , no lift, and only rubbed a little on the pointless air dam under the front of the bumper. As to your question, I'd go 6.
ETA ...and trim fender liners and such accordingly. |
I clear 35"x12.5"x17" with zero rub on my stock suspension Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4. How the hell do you need a 6" lift minimum?

What does it rub? I'm on 33's in a tundra with taller struts up front (not even leveled). A trim of the skid plate was all that was needed. I'm surprised you need 8" to clear 35's.

I am running 34s on my F250 stock with no rubbing.... 6" would be my answer.

I can't believe you need 6" to barely clear 35's
A Ram can squeeze them in with a leveling kit. I vote 6" and rub. Fuck it. 8" are too tarded looking |

I'd like to do a 4 or 6, but never feel like I have the money to spend on that kind of stuff. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

6"? 8"?
Bro.............. Do you even LIFT??? Sell your tires and get some shit for tractors bro. Better yet, burn your tires, don't sell them, burn them. Because awesomer. And then lift it like 20 inches, and buy some more lights. |
Hahaha! That's awesome! |
... not certain about Chevys, but my Dodge Ram 2500 needed 4.5", precisely, for full-range kinematics without rub running 37" BF Goodrich A/T.
Never mind these weak pieces of shit that are too whipped to actually own bro truck. They're fucking pussies! |
8" suspension and 6" body. Don't half step it.
While you're at it plop a phone book on the driver's seat so your short man complex doesn't prevent you from seeing over the dash. |
I've had both a 6" and an 8" on a 2500HD Silverado, I preferred the 6". You can fit the tires with some minor cutting at the most.
6 inches of lift to clear 35s?
Do you even sawzall bro? ETA: 4 inches gets me 35s on my old ass toyota 4x4. A torsion bar crank, rear AAL and a little love with a 5lb massager gets me 33s. |
6" or 8" to clear 35's?
I'm running 35's on a 2010 F150 with 2.5" levelling kit plus 1" in the rear. |
i did a 4" lift and cut the fenders to fit 37" tires. Cause if your lift is too big you'll need new drive shafts and/or drop the t-case a couple inches.
I clear 35"x12.5"x20" with zero rub on my F150, with just a 2" leveling kit in the front.
